Now share the drive or folder you would like to access on your phone. Just remember its name since you will need it later; for say my shared folder is BlogMetric Data. Make sure the permission are set for read/write access.
If you’re not able to share the file over network, go to network and sharing centre “Turn on” all sharing setting under advance network settings.
#3. Scan your network :
In ES File Explorer on your Android device, tap the globe icon in the upper-left hand corner, then navigate to Network > LAN.
On the menu at the bottom, tap “New” to look for available network shares on your LAN. Make sure that your Android device and the Windows computer are connected to the same network. If successful, you should see your Windows computer listed with its IP address.
If there are multiple devices connected to same network or you don’t know the IP of your PC open command prompt and run “ipconfig”.
#4. The Credentials :
Under server name, give your computer IP address and select Ok. Type in your computer user name and password. You can also disable password request in network and sharing centre by disabling share on “Turn off password protected sharing”
Once you give all details ES file explorer will connect your android device to your computer where you can access all the shared files in your desktop and can copy and move from each of the locations back and forth.
